Job Posting: Coordinator of Volunteers
Part-Time (21 hours) with occasional evenings/weekends
The Elliot Lake Palliative Care Program is seeking a compassionate and organized Coordinator of Volunteers to support clients, families and volunteers during a life-limiting illnesses and grief and bereavement.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and support volunteers delivering client care in home, hospital and community settings
Assess client needs and develop care plans aligned with the established practices and programs
Assist in recruitment and training of volunteers
Maintain client records and volunteer data
Ensure compliance with privacy, safety, and healthcare legislation (PHIPA, OHSA)
Assist with training, fundraising and community events
Must Have:
A current and clear Vulnerable Sector Check
Completion of Health Screener Form
Valid Drivers Licence, with own vehicle and proof of insurance
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and manage priorities with minimal supervision
Qualifications:
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience working with volunteers, healthcare, or community services (preferred)
Office and Administration experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office
Knowledge of palliative care principles and relevant legislation is an asset

Wage: $18 to $22 hour, based on experience
