This fall, our community came together in some truly meaningful ways. Through a season of fundraising, we are proud to announce that over $10,000+ was raised in support of Elliot Lake Palliative Care (ELPC)! We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made this possible.
Memory Walk
On October 4, our community came together at Westview Park for our Memory Walk fundraiser. Despite the wind and a little rain, it was truly a memorable day! Participants enjoyed a BBQ, live music provided by Jim Graham, and an opportunity to learn about Memory Flags.
The Memory Walk is more than fundraising, it's an opportunity to remember loved ones and support others walking through a time of grief.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, donated, volunteered, and helped organize the day. Your support helped us raise over $5,000+ for palliative care and grief services in our community. We also extend our sincere appreciation to our event sponsors, Elliot Lake Retirement Living and Alternative Funeral Services – Elliot Lake Chapel, for their generosity and commitment to helping make this event possible.
Wellness Retreat
On October 24, we welcomed 35 participants to Laurentian Lodge for our Wellness Retreat Fundraiser. It was a wonderful day dedicated to creativity and personal well-being. We had so many fun activities including mandala painting, vision boards, chair yoga, Medicine Wheel teachings, and a land base hike. With everyone’s support we AGAIN raised $5,000+ for ELPC services. We feel so thankful for all the community support in such a short period of time.
We extend a special thank you to our event sponsors, Denison Mines and Alternative Funeral Services – Elliot Lake Chapel, for their generous support.
We are also grateful to Laurentian Lodge for providing the setting for this special day, along with our presenters for sharing their knowledge and time to help make this retreat such a success.
Thank You for Being Part of It
To everyone who attended, donated, sponsored, volunteered, organized, or helped spread the word: thank you.
We are continually reminded that compassionate care is something a community builds together.
From all of us at Elliot Lake Palliative Care, thank you for helping us make a difference. Together, we are building a community where no one has to face life's most difficult moments alone.
